Brief: This project was part of my coursework from when I studied Creative iMedia (OCR). I was given a detailed brief to follow which told me the name of the album (5th Planet On The Left), the band (Percussive Progress) and the 6 tracks listed (Fifth Planet On The Left, My Escape, Gravity Gets Me Down, I Know Where I Am and Evolution). It also suggested that the design should have a retro feel as well as include instruments such as drums and keyboards. The brief then mentioned the required dimensions and resolution.
My thoughts:
I really enjoyed this project as the brief gave me a lot to use but there was still a good amount of creative freedom. This project also allowed me to become closer to people who I still consider my closest friends as we helped each other correct our work and made sure all of us were on the right track throughout.
If I was to do this project again, I would invert the entire design because the brief indicated that the "fold" should be on the left side of the front cover design. I would also consider creating my own assets, if the time frame allowed it, instead of using stock images.
